Clean Bandit Feat Zara Larsson - Symphony
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Symphony" is a song by British classical crossover band Clean Bandit featuring Swedish singer Zara Larsson. It is taken as the third single from their upcoming second album. The song was also released as the sixth single from Larsson's second studio album, So Good (2017).[2] The song is the fifteenth and final track on the album.[3] The song peaked at number one on the Swedish singles chart, becoming Larsson's fifth number one in her home country. It has also reached number one in Norway and the United Kingdom, becoming Larsson's first number one single in the latter country, as well as Clean Bandit's third number one in the UK.
The song's music video was premiered the same day the song was released, on 17 March 2017. It was directed by Clean Bandit's members Grace Chatto and Jack Patterson and features Larsson in a glittery dress backed by Clean Bandit and an orchestra while an emotional story plays out. The video starts off with a young man riding his bike and cuts to a crash scene. The next scenes show two men together doing various activities. We see they are a couple and live together and one has been killed in an accident. The man who is alive is shown grieving and visiting the spots where he and his boyfriend used to go. He then begins to write music again as we find out he is a composer and his boyfriend was his inspiration. By the end, he has composed a beautiful symphony in his boyfriend's memory. The video ends with him looking out into the crowd while his deceased boyfriend looks on proudly.[2]
Clean Bandit and Larsson gave their first live performance of the song on The Voice UK on 18 March 2017.[1]
The performance on The Tonight Show followed on 21 April 2017.[4]
